Editorial Leadership & Publishing
I lead multi-brand editorial programs from strategy through publication, building the systems, workflows, and audience-focused content that allow high-volume publishing operations to scale.
What I Lead
I turn editorial ambition into something that works—shaping what we publish and building the systems that let great work happen at scale.
-
I lead high-volume digital publishing across seven regional brands, managing content from development and assignment through editing, optimization and publication. I build repeatable workflows and editorial standards that keep production organized, consistent and scalable across markets.
-
I shape editorial coverage around audience needs, search behavior, brand priorities and emerging industry conversations. That includes developing story ideas, identifying SEO opportunities and determining how individual pieces fit into a broader editorial ecosystem rather than treating content as one-off output.
-
I develop and adapt editorial across web, print, podcast, YouTube and other digital channels, finding ways for reporting and expertise to work harder across platforms. My work on Wedding Day Podcast, for example, extends episodes into searchable articles, video packaging and platform-specific editorial assets.
-
I report and write original stories while also shaping work from contributors, freelancers, and collaborators. My editorial direction spans story development, interviewing, structural editing, and final polish, with an emphasis on making every piece useful, distinctive, and right for its audience.
How the Work Moves
DECIDE WHAT’S WORTH PUBLISHING
I develop original story ideas, evaluate pitches and submissions, and look for opportunities that can serve both immediate editorial needs and longer-term audience interests.
GIVE THE STORY ITS BEST SHAPE
The format follows the idea—not the other way around. A story might become an original feature, reported trend piece, real wedding, print story, podcast package or programming that can work across several brands.
BUILD A WAY TO GET IT DONE
I turn editorial plans into assignments, workflows and deadlines, coordinating across editors, interns and other teams so a high volume of publishing can keep moving without losing its standards.
PUBLISH, LEARN, ADJUST
SEO, audience behavior and performance data inform how I package stories and what I pursue next. I use what readers are actually finding and engaging with to sharpen future editorial decisions.
FEATURED CASE STUDY
IRON DIAMOND MEDIA
Building a Scalable Multi-Brand Editorial Operation
As Iron Diamond Media expanded its digital footprint across seven regional wedding publications, the opportunity extended beyond producing more content. Each brand needed to retain its local authority and distinct audience while operating within a cohesive, efficient publishing system.
As Senior Digital Editor, I lead the digital editorial operation across California Wedding Day, Washington Wedding Day, Oregon Wedding Day, Arizona Bride, Minnesota Bride, Wisconsin Bride and Nebraska Wedding Day. My work connects editorial strategy, daily publishing, contributor management, audience development and cross-platform programming—turning a network of individual publications into a coordinated digital ecosystem.

The Challenge
Scale Without Losing Distinction
A multi-brand publishing portfolio requires both consistency and specificity. Each publication serves a different regional wedding market, with its own professionals, venues, trends, and editorial priorities. At the same time, the larger organization needs shared standards, efficient workflows, and content capable of creating value across more than one platform.
The challenge was to support a high volume of publishing without flattening the individual brands—or allowing editorial production to become fragmented, reactive, or difficult to track.
The Approach
Build the Editorial System
I translate editorial priorities into actionable calendars, assignments, and repeatable workflows. Clear processes for pitching, editing, optimization, and publication help contributors and internal teams understand what is moving, what comes next, and how each piece supports the larger program.
Protect Each Brand’s Point of View
Shared systems do not require interchangeable content. I shape coverage around each market’s audience, regional expertise and industry relationships, preserving individual brand authority while identifying useful opportunities for collaboration across the portfolio.
Extend the Value of the Work
I adapt reporting and expertise across web, print, podcast, YouTube, and supporting digital channels, giving strong ideas multiple points of discovery while maintaining their usefulness, accuracy, and editorial integrity.
From Expert Conversations to Editorial Ecosystem
Since June 2024, I have independently led the written editorial production for every episode of Wedding Day Podcast—developing its audience-facing title, podcast, and YouTube descriptions and full editorial recap. Each conversation becomes a coordinated content package distributed across audio, video, and seven regional publication websites.
